A recently went to an author talk by this author, and the book kinda caught my attention. There is a lot of Handmaid’s Tale vibes to this story, in which girls are told that they have power “to lure grown men from their beds”, and when they are 16, the girls are banished to the woods to release their magic and return “purified”. I am really enjoying it so far.

In my quest to read the Grisha books, other than the Six of Crows duology, I have decided to finally read the Shadow and Bone trilogy. I recently re-read Shadow and Bone, and have decided to finish the Netflix series, thanks to the upcoming Netflix series.

Another great Asian inspired fantasy. While the beginning of the book, starts off slow, it really picks up and I couldn’t put it down. So much suspense I just had to keep reading.

Late last year I finally decided to enter the Shadowhunter world and started reading The Mortal Instruments, the first three books anyway, and I really enjoyed them so far and finally seeing what the hype is about.

I am currently loving it so far, and I see why people love Jem so much, and it also gives us another glimpse in the Shadowhunter world.

After reading the first volume of Papergirls, I can honestly say that I am a fan of Brian K. Vaughn. I would sort of describe it as a sort of girl version of Stranger Things, while also maybe dealing with time travel. I really want to keep reading this series.

I was also glad I saw this also at the library, and grabbed it immediately. I never read anything by Julie Kagawa, even though The Iron King, was on my TBR for a long time now.
