Top 5 Wednesday: Books you finally want to read in 2017

Happy Wednesday everyone, and here is another Top 5 Wednesday and the topic is:

December 7th – Books You Want to Finally Read in 2017
These are those books you meant to read in 2016 or 2015 or 2014 and never got around to. Those books that have been sitting on your TBR for a while, and you really want to get to. These aren’t upcoming 2017 releases; these are older books that need your love too!

I think I need to give myself a New Years resolution for books and why not address it in this topic.

Top 5 Wednesday is a group in Goodreads and was formerly created by Lainey at gingerreadslainey and is now done by Sam from Thoughts on Tomes. It is open to everyone.

Nevernight by Jay Kristoff

I remember hearing so many good things about it and have been putting off for many months, and hopefully once the year begins I could finally read this book because I am always looking to add more fantasy.

Gemina by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff

The sequel to one of the best books I read this year, Illuminae loving that book and I definitely want to read more of the story. I loved how unconventional Illuminae was, and I heard the sequel is really good.

Wolf by Wolf by Ryan Graudin

I love alternative historical fiction, and this book keeps catching my eye at bookstores and libraries. The premise alone sounds amazing and I heard great things about the book.

Golden Son/Midnight Star by Pierce Brown

The sequels to Red Rising, one of my favorite books I read this year and of course I have to read the sequels. From what I here the sequels are as amazing as Red Rising and I want to see more of what the story has to tell.

The Wrath and The Dawn by Renee Ahdieh

I keep seeing this book at bookstores and the blogosphere and I have heard great things about. The premise sounds amazing and always wanted to read books within an Arabian setting.

Those are the books I want to read in 2017. Have you read any of the books on my list? What books do you want to read in 2017? Let me know in the comments below.

October Wrap up/November TBR

Hello everyone,

We are currently in the month of November, and I was suppose to do this a few days ago, but I got busy. It was still a pretty good reading month despite how busy I was, but I still read what I needed to read. So lets recap.

What I Read:

Queen of Shadows by: Sarah J Maas

While everyone else was reading Empire of Storms, I was a little behind and was reading Queen of Shadows. Here is my review. I gave it 4/5.

Crooked Kingdom by: Leigh Bardugo

One of my most anticipated reads. After reading the great Six of Crows and loving it, I had to finish the series. Here is my review. I gave it 5/5

And I Darken by: Kiersten White

It was a nice book, the cover looks amazing. I actually liked the book more than I thought I would. Here is my review. I gave it 4/5

The Midnight Star by: Marie Lu

The conclusion of one my favorite series by one of my favorite authors. It was a good conclusion, and I enjoyed the series. Here is my review. I gave it 3.8/5

Vicious by VE Schwab

Another great book by the fabulous VE Schwab, and it was amazing. A very good read, that blurs the lines between good and bad. Here is my review. I gave it 4.7/5

Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff

This was a book, that I kept saying, why did it take me long to read this. I loved how unconventional the book was. Mainly told through chats, and security and I loved every page of it. Here is my review. I gave it 5/5

The Girl of Fire and Thorns by Rae Carson

This was a nice short read. I enjoyed reading it and I plan to read the rest of the series. Here is my review. I gave it 3/5

Across the Universe by Beth Revis

Another book on my TBR list that I finally read, and I really liked it. Here is my review. I gave it 3.5/5

November TBR:

Heartless by Marissa Meyer

Golden Son by Pierce Brown

My Lady Jane by: Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton and Jodi Meadows

Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake

That was my monthly wrap up. I am very surprised I read that many books in October. I hope I will get to all my November books. If you have any recommendations. Let me know in the comments below.

Anyone is welcome to join, just leave a link to your post in the comments and be sure to give the appropriate credit to Sam.

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

This was on my TBR for a while now, and after reading Illuminae I always wanted to read more YA set in space.

What did you recently finish?

Seriously, why did it take me so long to finally read this?! I loved every page of it. Here is my review.

This was another book on very long TBR list, it was a surprisingly good book, I should have the review up by the end of the week.

What do you think you’ll read next?

This was a book I wanted to read for the longest time, I finally got the book and will be reading it soon.

I read Red Rising, loved it, and now I am going to read the next two book because I need to know what happens next.

That is my WWW Wednesday. What books are you currently reading? What have you recently finished and what will you be reading next? Let me know in the comments below!
